He did win the NC didn't he? LSU won't get there with JJ as starting QB.

Yes they can, they need a defense, luck just like any QB. It is not like McElroy won the NC game for Alabama.

To win a NC it takes a few things:
1. Defense
2. Luck
3. Running Game
4. QB who limits mistakes
5. Coaching

LSU can win if those things line up. Jefferson is not the reason LSU is not there yet.

I guess we just disagree. I think the defense is close to being where it needs to be already. They simply wore down as games went along because the offense could not sustain drives. I place the majority of the blame for that on JJ.

oh wait... nevermind

OK...Doc

Let's wrap it up...Correct me if I'm mis-interpreting your assesment.

JJ with the same run support would (or could) be just as good or an even better quarterback than Matt Flynn.

If that's the case, with JJ being a junior next year and LSU gets the OL straightened out, and Murphy, Ridley, Ford, and Ware produce a solid running game, and with Terrance Tolliver and Marcus Randle at WR, the excuses for JJ will be no more? (He will, if not already) will have had more starts than Matt Flynn.

LSU passing Offense
2009: 181.77 Yards Per Game
2008: 201.43 yards Per Game
2007: 225.30 Yards per Game
2006: 251.70 Yards Per Game
2005: 224 Yards Per Game

That is the passing yards Per Game since Les took over.

Now onto individuals
Jefferson 2009- 137.8 Passing Efficiency
Lee 2008- 116.93 Passing Efficiency
Flynn 2007- 125.8 Passing Efficiency
Russell 2006- 167 Passing Efficiency
Russell 2005- 136.4 Passing Efficiency

Just do not see how it is Jefferson's fault for the offense. He can be better but he is not the only reason for the offense.

Yes and I believe people are allowed to different opinions than my own. Just because they do have a different opinion does not mean I will think they are racist. If they can support their claim as to why they do not like him then I can just agree to disagree.

he does hold onto the ball to long sometimes, he needs to keep his eyes down field when the pocket starts to break down, he could also use more touch on his deep ball. i don't buy into people sayin he doesn't go through his progression because you don't know his first read and you also don't know the play and you can't see his eyes, hence you don't know what read he is on. like i said. he has his faults but he could be a solid starter if we could run the ball

So do most college QB's. let alone 19 year old soph ones starting their first year in the SEC. Flynn repeatedly did this as well. Funny how quickly everyone forgets about that.

What pocket? When one, by some divine intervention, actually formed; he was most successful.

he could also use more touch on his deep ball.

One of the hardest things to teach any QB.

Finally something I agree with.

Did you watch the games this year??? How can you place the majority of blame on JJ???

Did you actually like Crowtons offensive phillosophy (assuming he actually has one)?

Did you like the horribly predictable play calls?

Did you like running the short side option with someone who is not an option QB?

I realize JJ made some mistakes, but for pete's sake almost all the mistakes he made could be directly attributed to him not being properly coached.

How some of you can't see this baffles me.

Why?

"Uhhh, duhhh, he just won't!!! LOLZ"

right now, the only defense anyone has for our qb play, is to blame it on other people and positions

Well if all of that blame is valid, why do some still blame the QB for everything?
