AWESOME! Lafayette will get some tourist $$$ while will help the local economy. Also, the cajun hospitality will hopefully shine through, making the out of towners want to come back. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

How did UL get to host and LSU didn't??????

Given this dude's moniker (Lafman), I'm guessing he's not kidding. This is so wrong in so many ways not the least of which he thinks that UL refers to the Cajuns. Still wishing it so I guess. . . Pathetic.

I would guess that depends on how many host teams get beat in their regionals.

no it only matters if the national seed we're paired with loses. and even then its not guaranteed, although probably likely.

I hope LSU ends up in Austin (for selfish reasons).

I could go to all the games to cheer them on!

Why not Texas? In 1989 we where paired with Texas A&M the #1 overall seed that year and we beat them. This way we get them out of the way so that we have smooth sailing in Ohmaha we will close Rosenblat in style!

You took the words out of my mouth except I want to go to TCU and do it in their backyard and then run to Austin and do it just like last year. Lets Dominate The state of Texas once and for all and Tell Auggie that this year was one of the hardest to coach but you you're done and don't show up to Rosenblatt.

This thread would have gone a lot smoother if you could just put Louisville instead of UL. Who the hell calls them UL? Sure, that's their scoreboard abbreviation but their moniker, the thing that the entire sports watching nation knows them as is "Louisville".

This board is based in the state of Louisiana, the only state that begins with the letter "L". This state has two schools called "University of Louisiana". It's probably offensive to some to start a topic calling Louisville "UL". NO ONE in the state of La, or anywhere else in the nation (including Kentucky) calls Louisville "UL".

Thus, I can't fault anyone who dislikes, is confused by, or even takes offense to this subject line. You asked for it, and if you did it on purpose then count me as one of the people offended.

As far as the regional, it's going to be either:

- Louisville
- Oklahoma
- TCU
- Miami

Small chance of:
Ga Tech
Coastal Carolina

Another thing about the whole "UL is"

Of course Louisville is hosting, they have an RPI of 5 and are in the top5 of polls. They ran-away with their conference. No one was expecting them to not get a host. Why are they the surprise team that gets mentioned?
