One game winner take all post season. The whining on this board will be hilarious if Bama beats LSU in the national title game.

Amen brutha. And I'd bet a weeks salary that this weak arse notion of "it's not fair" ain't shared by Les and the team.

I just as soon play Bama because if we play someone else they will always say it should had been Bama in the game

Can't believe how close...but again, Oregon & WVU give us a much stronger out of conference schedule. A win over Penn St. doesn't really mean much, especially with them getting stomped by Wisconsin today. However, outside of Bama, appears only OK St. if they beat up on OU, appears to be the only team that has an outside shot of passsing Bama, because of their computer poll ranking, as I don't think Virginia Tech can catch them.

There is a chance we beat them again. But there is a chance we lose because its hard to beat a team like that twice. Now i think those calling for a rematch are those who want someone there who can beat us. I don't think it has anything to do with how good bama is but they know that another worthy opponent will not beat us. Bama had their chance and blew it. But to have bama sit there without having to earn it in a Championship game is wrong. I am not scared for us to play them again, but don't think its right. Thats why I hope OK St beats Ok and looks good enough to pass them up. Having said all this, if we were the ones looking at Bama in the SECCG we would be looking from about the 6th spot unlike the generous spot they gave Bama after we beat them there.

It will also matter if we play them again, and it will matter even more.

Either the first game mattered or it didn't. If we have to play them again for it to matter then the first time around didn't matter.

All this talk about Fair is BS. Play who is in front of you and win and there is no discussion. If Bama is second best team in nation, then 1 and 2 will play. Take care of them one at a time.

2 more games left guys - let's all pull in same direction for our Team!

"The [BCS National Championship Game] will air on ESPN[1], with a simulcast on both ESPN3.com and ESPN 3D."

Gee, I wonder who ESPN wants LSU to play in the BCS National Championship Game? VA Tech, whom seven people would watch in a BCS National Championship Game? Oklahoma State? Maybe 20 more than those who would watch VA Tech.
Stanford? They'd generate big west coast TV numbers but still not as many as the LSU-Bama rematch would generate nationwide.

The non-stop ESPN kiss arse of Bama has already begun. They'll be working hard to ensure their Christmas bonuses in 2012, the ones the LSU-Bama BCS National Championship game will cover.

Let's say Red Sox beats the Yankees every time they play them during the regular season. They both still make it to the ALCS and Yankees sweep them 4 games.

Is anyone going to make the argument that the Yankees don't deserve to be in the World Series because the Red Sox beat them more times during the regular season?

This is worlds apart and in no way similar to the situation at hand.

The BCS endeavors to make "every game a playoff." So in your analogy it would be like the Red Sox beat the Yankees in the ALCS and then had to face them again in the World Series.

No it isn't. In College Football there is a regular season and a post season.

Regular Season is simply to place you in a bowl. Once Post season starts it doesn't matter if you are undefeated or 6-6. You win your bowl game then you Win the title for that game. Doesn't matter what you did during the regular season.
