The free possession given to SLU by the refs on the jump ball before the half was a huge call. We would have held out for the last shot, so that's a blatant 2-point swing.

We lost because of a poor plan on defense and the wrong adjustments schematically on defense period.

I love Will Wade but I don’t understand why we were in this aggressive “press zone” when they were slicing through it and ending up with that Perkins guy wide open for 3s on the baseline.

100% agree with you, had we just stayed with what we did in the first half on D we’dve been fine. It was a stagnant offense that put us in the hole but we scored 55 in the second half and caught fire. If we just hold them to 34-36 again we win easily but we couldn’t gain ground with the trap leaving guys open for any shot they wanted.

Also, I know this is just a message board, but I did want to apologize to you, of course you were right about the whole Finley/Brennan thing and I was wrong, but I’m not apologizing for that, I want to apologize for insinuating you criticized Finley because he was black, that was wrong of me.
