Watching the 2022 game vs Ole Miss…

I do understand that it’s different not having 5 at QB, but it’s really encouraging how many of the players on that team making plays are still on this team. I’m still early in this watch, and so far…
-Miles Frazier is moving bodies inside
-Campbell and EJ are protecting the QB
-Kyren Lacy is moving the chains
-Josh Williams is getting chunks of yardage
-Greg Penn is making physical tackles
-Sage Ryan is defending passes
-Savion Jones is chasing down Dart
-Mason Taylor is catching balls and making key blocks in the run game.
Regardless of talent level, we have experience. Our guys have been through these battles. We also have a new DC that can confuse Kiffin a little. I get that Ole Miss has a bunch of talented hired mercenaries, but a lot of times experience wins out in these types of games.
Watching this game is making me feel good about night home game in Tiger stadium. I think our offense will move the ball, and Baker will keep Kiffin off balance just enough to keep us in it.
Tigers win this one 34-30

Give me Bakers aggressive defensive scheme with Death Valley at its peak. We win the turnover battle we win the game.

I agree. People underestimate how important it is for a scheme to match a home crowd. LSU always needs an aggressive scheme because the players and the home fans feed off of that energy. Turnovers in Tiger stadium are big time, and if we force a couple early ones, Kiffin’s mercenaries will fold.

Honestly we need to abuse their secondary with the physicality of our 3 tight ends. We will see if that makes it into the game plan.
