Man, our Defense was soon trash this year! We are NOWHERE NEAR Bama or UGA defensively. We are light-years away!

Are we far away defensively? Yes. Can things change fast with the portal and flips? Yes. Just because we’re far away doesn’t mean we can’t turn it around fast.

Absolutely correct. LSU was 29-0 at home worse than Bama in 2018, very next year had the most unstoppable team ever. I wouldn't bet on it, but they can certainly make a big improvement with the portal and coaching changes. Problem is we are losing the star of the best offense in the country.

The defenses at Bama and UGA were not built on The Portal. They are built on 5+ years of top 3 high school recruiting. THAT is how you build top defenses. And LSU's recruiting has been NOT top 5 over the past 4 years.

It’s a simple formula. You accumulate talent to give yourself an edge. It’s the reason why Bama—UGA are competing for titles every year. Then you just need solid coaching.
