He's the same type of moron LSU "fan" that predicted us to go 7-5 this year.

I agree. Just heard cheese dick say that his players play hard, nothing dirty about their play. He is quickly moving up my list as most hated coach. Very arrogant! I hope the Aubies get slapped hard .

Fairley would own E.

Eric Hill told me there was only one man he NEVER wanted to see at practice at LSU or in a game in the NFL.

That man was Eric Andolsek.

From a Chris Speilman interview:

quote:

Q: Who was the greatest player you faced in college football?

A: Man, there were so many good ones. I don't want to slight anybody. But I think Lorenzo White of Michigan State was pretty good, and Anthony Thompson from Indiana and Darrell Thompson from Minnesota were really talented college guys. And if I could throw a lineman in there, who happened to be a guy I roomed with in the NFL, was Eric Andolsek of LSU. When we played them (in 1987), it was a battle all day with him. He was just nasty.

Fairley even said that if he "breaks your quarterback in half" it your fault you shoulda stopped me.

How's that for class?

That's football. However, the intentional chop blocking/headhunting of a player is NOT football. It's assault.

And another:

The year was 1987 and the Buckeyes were making their first trip to LSU's Tiger Stadium. As kickoff approached, Spielman met at midfield with the referee and team captains, including Andolsek, who stared a hole through him.

quote:

"Eric is looking all mean and nasty and trying to intimidate us at the toss," Spielman said last week. "The next thing I know we're interlocked and I'm thinking, 'Man, the strongest human being in the world has ahold of me. It's going to be a battle.' "

DISCLAIMER: I saw Big E play and remember it will. He was a monster, a man among boys. Strong, powerful, athletic, great footwork, a beast, everything.

HOWEVER, it is nearly impossible to compare the players today to those of yesterday. "Relative" is a key word here.

Andolsek was 6-foot 2, 286. That is T-Bob size today. That would equivalent to 6-foot 5, 315 today, relatively speaking.

Line the two up today and it wouldn't be dominant one way or the other I believe.

Line the "equivalents" up, however, and Andolsek would brutalize Fairly.

Fairly is going to get his in the NFL. Remember that Bosworth tool from Oklahoma and what the NFL players did to his sorry arse when he stepped up to the big league? Fairly is next!

I vividly remember what Bo Jackson did to Bosworth's punk arse.

Fairley is one of the dirtiest players I have seen. He is always trying to drive quarterbacks into the ground unnecessarily. He was the one that picked up JJ and slammed him in the ground.

You just need one play to take care of that frick. Put in a 5th year senior with nothing to lose at the end of the game that has something against kneecaps. Send him in with the intent of " he might make it off the field , but he ain't gonna be walkin"

wrong. not at end of game.
FIRST frickING PLAY.

He was also the one that drove JL on the turf and sprained his wrist

all this about matchups is irrelevant.
someone who wishes to do so can end his career.

Just like he tries to do, when he hits a QB in the back with his helmet.

Not quite. You should look up the differences between assault and battery.

This is true. That makes it even worse though

Don't even refer to him as E with a POS answer like what you just came with. You are not even worthy of calling him E, or Big E, GTFO!

+ one fricking million!

Eric would have battled Fairley with more rage than that sack of shite has ever seen. Would he have owned him? No. He is the best dlineman in the country. Would he have commanded respect from him? You better bet your sweet arse.

There are absolutely legit ways to answer over aggressive linemen. Does no one in college football understand the chip block? Just send Steven Ridley on a wheel route or middle screen, but before he releases from the LOS, let him chip Fairley. Repeat as necessary.

on the field there was no one badder than Eric.....not even Cantrelle. Sorry, the field of battle ain't a bar room. Hell, he was hell on wheels there too. Ask Bull and Octavio Gonzales (former Nicholls linemen).....beat both of their asses at the SAME time.

the SEC should suspend Fairley for the hits he committed v UGA. Slive doesn't care about "fairness" or doing what is right. In the NFL, Fairley would have been fined and/or suspended.

SEC officiating and governance is a complete joke.
