Listen I like Chris Blair. Seems like a nice guy. But the dude had ZERO emotion Monday night and frankly all season. He’s great technically, but he just doesn’t have enough emotion at all for my liking. He called that game like a 4A Bi-District game in mid to late November.

The only game he really brought it emotionally was Florida. I think he feels the bad blood in that series lately and it definitely came out that week. Hopefully in time he will learn to let his emotions show more often.

Have to agree... coming from Jim, it’s hard to find a replacement. Jim has to be one of the biggest tiger fans on the planet. Bringing in someone from out of state is tough. I say we make it a all Louisiana born coaching and radio staff ??

You don’t have to be “neutral” when you are broadcasting for a specific team. Leave the neutral stuff to those people not officially affiliated with a team.

It’s okay to show emotion and excitement for the team that pays your salary.

I'm watching the Clemson radio feed right now. I like to hear the build up, excitement and then total deflation. But these guys are very good, like Chris. Even with Daboo running around like a 13 year old cheerleader and jumping in the air chest-bumping, the Clemson announcers were all class.

SO FAR !!!

LSU just scored to make it 17-14 Clemson.

Mario Jerez not calling all the LSU games is a freaking crime.

Agree totally. Turned to that broadcast with about 8 minutes to go to get local emotion. None! Sounded like he and Doug were broadcasting a funeral procession. ‘Doug, here comes the hearse leading the procession’. ‘That’s right Chris, there is probably a casket inside with a dead body. They are going to the cemetery’! It was so bad that my wife, who was only halfway watching commented ‘what did you change it to...these guys are terrible. Biggest game in LSU history and they had no emotion!

He is too unemotional and too casual and too delayed in comparison to the action. I just DO NOT prefer him as the voice of the Tigers. Agree he is probably a nice guy, but we need MLB to make him an offer, cause he'd be ideal there.
