USL will do well in the Sun Belt, but I wouldn't go as far as calling them a good team. Their QB missed a lot of wide open receivers, and when he did actually hit them, they dropped quite a few of his passes. The LSU game was USL's bowl game, and they played inspired ball against an uninspired LSU team.
Beating Kansas State at Cajun Field (What the hell is a BCS team doing traveling to a Sun Belt school?) was no big feat. KSU is a team in transition. Ron Prince absolutely reduced that team to rubble during his tenure there. Kansas State will become the next Iowa State of the Big 12.

The Cajuns weren't the practice squad that LSU tore through in the past. I doubt that LSU got much out of the previous two meetings other than to have an evening to run through a portion of their play book.
Last night the Tigers learned a few things about themselves (hopefully that they can improve on quickly).
Jefferson gave up his first safety and his first interception of the season last night. Better to have that learning experience against the Cajuns than when it matters (having it lose the game for you against a Georgia or Alabama).
Same thing with the offensive line. They got knocked back by a much smaller defense. That's not all intensity on the part of the Cajuns, that's mistakes on the part of the offensive line.
UL was good enough to serve a purpose.

The real question is how the heck far down has K State fallen?
Bad, but they played a pretty close game last night @ UCLA, Bruins got a late TD to win 23-9
