I mind it a hell of a lot. I prefer to hear the bands instead. If you want an NFL experience, go to New Orleans and watch the damned Saints. This is college football.

I'd rather the band not play their super gay version of Bon Jovi and Greenday. If you make them stop...I'll stop playing better tunes.

college players like to hear a good mix of piped in music & the band. You need a mix of both at this level of a program.

BS!

You don't NEED any recorded music. It's a fairly recent phenomenon in TS. A lot of great LSU teams didn't have recorded music and did just fine. LSU football players shouldn't have to have any music to help get them get motivated once they step foot out on the field. Concentrate on what you have to do and block out any distractions.

If they want to play music on their personal listening devise of choice in the lockerroom, fine. Once that uniform goes on and you step out onto the field, you shouldn't need any kind of music for motivation.

The ONLY time the recorded shite is even remotely acceptable in TS is when TGBFTL is down on the field. As soon as they return to their seats, the PIM should cease and desist.

Most of those that love and defend the recorded music are the same individuals that have helped turn Tiger Stadium into a fragile shell of it former self. (The young "Diaper Brigade" kiddies, the new "Wine and Cheese" crowd, the "Could care less" corporate give away ticket holders and the newbie LSU fans that have leached onto the program because of recent success)

I remember that not too long ago that all we needed in Tiger Stadium for noise was TGBFTL and fans with functioning vocal chords. Sad state of affairs that it's sunk to this level.

I'm curious if people in the nosebleed seats can hear TGBFTL? I've always been on row 22 close to field.

I hope they play more piped in music so it pisses people off even more.

+1

It might be the biggest overreaction going right now. They play piped in music when the band is moving or on a break.

Oh, the horror.

Now, if they would stop playing "Calling Baton Rouge," I'd be the happiest man in TS.

Yeah you can but you still feel removed from the game. I don't plan to go back up there in this lifetime. Twice is two times too many. Let the corporates and whine & cheese sets have those. Student section can go up there too. Sell those lower bowl seats to folks who care.

My season tickets are in the WU on the 42yd line. Our section is always into the game, never leaves and knows when to stand or sit. I sat on the 45 in lower bowl last year against WVU and I was shocked at the amount of Walmart jerseys and people not paying attention. A lot of teenagers texting and people more worried about talking than watching football. I'll take the upper deck any day.

I don't like it, but at least it doesn't completely lack context like Calling Baton Rouge.

Pretty soon we'll just let the band come out at halftime and we can just jam to Acdc between every play. Come on people. One of the thongs that has made lsu so intimidating is the fact that we produce our own noise. Piped in is bullshite in tiger stadium, but I know times are changing and we would like to be more like Kentucky.

Dear LSU,

Most of us would rather not play those songs either. It's usually the band director's choice in the end, complain to him.

Besides that, it's nice to have some stuff piped in when we're not playing. It would be awkward silence otherwise, and we can't play the ENTIRE time or the brass players' faces would fall off. (There's also the times we're down by the field too.)

I couldn't agree more. You ever watch our players dancing to the piped in music during warmups. Anything that gets them loose or pumped up I'm all for.

Don't the opponents also dance to it? It gets them fired-up too!
