Was Shep not good enough to get a single snap?

Dude showed flashes as a runner since he's been here yet he didn't step on the field a single play.
Also, Odell Beckham is a NFL talent with game breaking ability yet he had what 1 catch? It's unreal how we waste so much talent at LSU.
As a recruiter what would you tell a big time RB or WR to get them to LSU?

Well our freshman came in and beat out 4 proven vets and did very well this year.

Hilliard was great last year, all of a sudden he sucks apparently.

Shepard was not good enough for a single snap.
After the third quarter, neither was J. Hill.

That fumble got into Les's head.

Maybe that was on Hilliard and not the coaches?
There is no reason for a RB to be turned away from LSU. We love to run and have shown we give freshmen the chance to not only play, but start.
WR's I agree with you. Our offense needs an overhaul.

I don't understand either. Maybe there is something to the sophomore Jinx.

247 said shep was in te dog house and wouldn't see any playing time during the bowl game! He wasn't supposed to play.

Wow Shep was the last guy who deserved to go out like that if true.
I'd like to talk to Shep about he and Les's conversation last offseason.

Shep was a great attitude and had great athletic potential.
He couldn't translate it into on the field success.
Dude dropped passes, and many times couldn't remember where to line up. Can understand coaches getting frustrated with that.
He was given chances. Had flashes, but also had lapses.

No he wasn't. It's time to move on
Shep was given every opportunity to do something great early in the season and he choked every time. How many dropped passes did he have?

What's unreal is how people on here just make up stats and then talk about badly we underutilize our talent. Beckham had 3 catches for 40 yards in tha game. Landry had 4 catches for 36 yards. Beckham was also targeted a couple of other times.
We weren't able to get a ton of throws off due to the fact that Mett was sacked 6 times and pressured other numerous times.

162 touches from scrimmage and gained 1286 yards....7.9 yards per touch...Thats unreal for a career. Imagine if he had more touches.

not as many as ppl would have you believe, but 2 I know of for sure.
he also ran a hell of a sluggo route for a TD that got called back because both guards apparently didn't get the play call and went downfield.
at the end of the day, once Crowton left, a lot of the creativity with how to use Shep left with him. Shep isn't really a player you can pigeon hole into 1 position.
that's not saying I wanted Crowton to stay, just more of a "shite happens" type thing.
