during Jamarcus' freshmen year??? Seriously though, we all didn't like his decision making but progressively got better. I feel the same way about Lee and I feel he's going to be Heisman material in 2 to 3 years. I have faith in him but is questioning Miles' decision making this season

JR showed way more signs of brilliance at this point, but I think JL is going to be a very good QB

i have had this discussion a few times but i have to say it didnt matter what jamarcus done wrong we could always the light at the end of the tunnel with him because of his raw talent and i think J. Lee has that type of talent it just doesnt show all the time like jamarcus. dont get me wrong i was like everyone else and ready to bench his arse all the time but he worked out and so will J. Lee just give it time

Lee will be our man next year. JJ and Shep will complement him with their running abilities so we can take some pressure off of him. His arm is pretty much as good as any freshman in the country. This year is really going to help him in the long-run.

i agree totally about this year helping him he has been in some quite tough environments already...that auburn was pretty loud and he run that shite like it was nothin...so he does have signs of brilliance just not as much as jamarcus so far

There is no comparison.

Lee is the worst Freshman QB in LSU history.

With that said, he does have lots of potential, and hopefully he will learn from it.

I look forward to watching him progress. Hopefully, he starts this progression soon.

As to compare him to Russell, think of Russell on the OSU game, then think of Russell stepping into the Outback Bowl and leading us to what should have been a win. That is progression. We haven't seen this from Lee. Yet.

When Jamarcus fricked up, you could normally see what he was trying to do. The majority of his INTs were bombs down the field that he tried to tight rope in between defenders. Since that was pretty much the only thing Jimbo would let JR do, 35+ yard bombs, it wasn't exactly "QB friendly" for a Freshman.

Lee just lobs wounded ducks into the air with no rational decision making, or so it seems, behind his throws. Crowton's offense is much more QB friendly for a young guy, yet Lee is doing much worse. Not to mention that Lee has a better running game, line, and TE to compliment him.

one ignorant and unfair statement.....

I do not even remember of a QB thrown into the SEC type of competition with so little time.
Please name another LSU QB put into that position with so little time......
I have been following LSU since '65..you were probably not born...and I do not know of any.

both JR and JL are slapdicks, it just so happens that JL is a bit more of a slapdick. How in the hell can anyone say that JL has heisman potential after watching him look more and more like a Miss St. qb! I hope Ryan P. comes back to Baton Rouge and stabs him in the throat to serve some justice

well look at bradford when he was a fresh...also stafford??? mccoy, texas tech's quarterback also......when they were all freshmen???? come on

yea....just the 6 pick 6's alone are reason enough why JR >>>>>>>> JL.

Just intangibles that JR had. He knew when to run, how to buy himself more time. I always felt at ease with JR that he would lead LSU back in the 4th qtr.

first off please dont call him Ryan P. that makes me think you and him are slapdicks just call him RP like everyone else jerk off...secondly he has no say in this and we have already said that a 9-3 season would be better than not knowing if we would have RP on gameday because of various reasons
