Martin and Aleva now need their 15 minutes of fame! According to WAFB they will decide when players return and they want some guarantees that the suspended players will not make the mistake again

i been thinking this as well today..

i mean really the chancellor's name is now being pimped on espnu.. it's like they aren't lifting the suspension just for the sake that everyone expects them to..

Alleva knows how to handle these situations. Look how great he handled the Duke Lacrosse thing.

Bet they wait atleast until thursday, maybe even next monday. They need to feel important, send a message to the players I guess? I know they are ready to get back and work hard, but there is a point in which these players will get frustrated with all this, sooner they are back the better it is for everyone. Once they are reinstated everyone will stop talking about it, thats what is best for the image LSU.

756 don't worry. This is for show and everybody knows it. They are saying all the right things. We mean business blah, blah, and we will decide when you come back. Those guys are playing against Bama. Book it. The only way those guys don't play versus Bama is if they basically tell everybody at LSU they aren't following any reinstatment guidelines and that won't happen.

Who gives a shite what the Chancellor says? The three will still practice and play against Bama. Isn't that all that matters?

I am not as concerned they will not play as I am that they are not practicing- they have already missed a week and they need to in the practice and watching game film

Note to Martin and Aleva- look up the last two NC years and see what the revenue is worth to the university- then QUIT trying to run the football team and let CLM do that

Maybe, or possibly there is more to the suspensions than the casual fan knows.

This is purely smoke and mirrors.

Nothing to see here, they'll be playing in the game.

Duke Lacrosse

Alleva faced some criticism for the way the university handled the controversial Duke lacrosse team rape allegations in 2006. Despite the four defendants being later acquitted of the charges against them, the head lacrosse coach, a winner of national coach of the year, was forced to resign. In addition, the 2005 lacrosse season was canceled during the ongoing investigation even though 43 of the 47 players were not accused of any wrongdoing. Families of 38 of the 47 lacrosse players have filed a lawsuit against Duke University for multiple offenses in the handling of the case.
[edit]Controversy

In 2006, Alleva and his sons were involved in a boating accident which left Alleva with an injured head. His son, J.D., was charged with operating a boat while impaired after refusing to give a blood sample for testing. Three officers smelled alcohol on him hours after the incident.

thats all u need to know about alleva

This is what made him getting the job here in the first place such a head scratcher.

When I think of who best knows whether or not 3 individual students have a) been punished appropriately b) deserve to be reinstated I think of the Chancellor and AD of the university.

I'm sure neither are out of touch and have a good grasp on the situation.

If I had to guess I'd say this is Les Miles playing with bama by not letting them know if the synthetic three will be available on November 5
