Wade and recruiting (no accusations)

We can all agree that high level college basketball recruiting is shady.
The problem with Wade is this:
1. Even if completely innocent, LSU (particularly if they keep Wade) is under the proverbial microscope of the NCAA. Coaches will use this for negative recruiting against LSU.
2. Compliance office will likely be hyper vigilant over the next year or two.
3. “Bag men” for LSU (not saying they exist, but if they did) will not likely make any significant offers to compete with the bag men of the UNC’s, Kansas’s, of the basketball recruiting landscape, due to the hyper vigilance of the NCAA microscope.
I love Wade as a coach, but the unfairness of the one-sidedness by the media might be too much for him to thrive at LSU.

Even if all these news are true it shows there was a bidding war so other schools were doing the same things.

Tough spot..we went through it for 5 yrs with Freeze..looking back it would have been best to fire him immediately after accusations came out as you keep rationalizing it until you have to dig in, then the NCAA decides if you’re a school they can punish without hurting their brand and the conference strengths financially..Tigers might have enough juice to prevent sanctions, like Bama in football and Duke, Kansas in b-ball..good luck
