He will bring a very cerebral approach to the game and his teams take pride in winning games in many different ways. Our approach at the plate will be the most noticeable difference I believe right off the bat. He coached in a massive park in Zona so the long ball will continue IMO at LSU. He will embrace the former players the current players will love him. He was the reason University of San Diego was a powerhouse about 10 years ago and had 2 top 3 classes. Great hire and had Omaha experience. Who the pitching coach will be is what will define him here IMO

Having really looked into him since the announcement I’m a lot more excited. Our approach at the plate has been atrocious the past couple years consistently under maineri. That sounds like a point of emphasis for Johnson.
