First time I saw this report. I just assumed that's what happened because that's what plenty of other people have said.
Regardless, Richt did the right thing and taught the young man a great life lesson and helped him turn his life around.

Agreed. However, this is on the shoulders of the CBS directors/producers/execs. and not on Verne or Gary. You know Gary would rather talk football. That's not a "hot-button" topic, though.

Yep, Gary is still talking about Damien "Swain" in coverage.
To be honest I don't think the Hill incident would still be receiving that much coverage, if Miles had just come out and said he was suspended for two games and move on. It was the whole "team vote" that blew it up on the national stage.

Most people don't publish the names of victims in this type of situation, FWIW. So I very strongly doubt there is anything besides rumors to back up the long-running stance that the girl was a daughter of a UGA booster.

unless you've some type of inside info, I'd be inclined to refute this. In all the time since the incident, there's been no mention of any involvement with the girl's parents being a relative. And that includes clued-in Valdosta folks, as well as some in Athens.
I've always been inclined to believe that Mett was let go more to cement Murray's standing as starting QB, and to keep the QB controversy to a minimum, than anything else.

They commented on Morgan's transgression and I laughed out loud to my buddies. Like every player that is spotlighted in the game is going to have their legal issues discussed by ole Vern. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

I also thought Lundquist was over the top in his comments and used a poor choice of words. He struck me as biased in his presentation and offered no balance by at least mentioning the extenuating circumstances that precluded Hill's admittedly bad response. Additionally, last time I looked, UGA had the highest incidence of players with legal problems of any SEC team and, a little balance is not a bad thing.
I have no problem with Danielson, he actually seems to me to be one of the more knowledgeable and insightful commentators.

I though that the broadcast went way too far detailing the Hill and Mett's issues. I'm quite sure that there are a few players on Georgia's roster who have criminal histories.

Verne notoriously roots against us. It is painfully obivous, and I usually don't play the "why does #### hate LSU" game.
