I got into a conversation with someone not long ago about my trip around Phoenix. I told them I hated the climate over there even with dry heat. They told me humidity is worse. Yeah, in some ways it is but look at what surrounds the areas. That's all you need to know. They're barren wastelands for a reason lol. Las Vegas is the same way during the summer. It's oppressively hot with almost no relief even at night. It probably regularly is 105-115f at this time of the year and the temps don't feel like they drop that much if at all during night. Someone told me the reason Las Vegas feels like this now is due to the population and how they set the infrastructure up which absorbs the heat so there isn't relief at night. I don't know if that's true but it feels like it.
