I think I get your drift. Defensively, the Tigers are susceptible to height and might under the basket. IMO that was the only reason the Ky game was even competitive. Otherwise, we win going away.

Good news for us is that Vandy can't beat LSU with a one-dimensional attack down low. The offense will tire, we rebound well. Commodores crumble by half two.

Now, later on down the road at the big dance, our lack of a low -post wide body on D could mean trouble.

1. You can listen online for free at VUCommodores.com if you don't mind the VU broadcast team.
2. I don't agree at all with the poster who stated that our team does not have much talent beyond AJ. We have plenty of talent, we're just REALLY young (8th youngest in NCAA, which amazingly puts us just 3rd youngest in SEC). We have no seniors and 6 freshmen who will play. Jermaine Beal is a very good point guard with a very good assist to turnover ratio (led SEC last year) and he shoots 42% from 3. Brad Tinsley is a talented frosh who is also a good shooter. Jeff Taylor and Lance Goulbourne are wing players with athleticism that we haven't seen at Vanderbilt in a long time. Taylor tends to attack the basket while Goulbourne can play inside and out. Steve Tchiengang and Festus Ezeli are still learning the game, but both have shown flashes. Tchiengang can knock down the 3 if you don't cover him, but he doesn't force offense much.
3. That said, with inexperience comes inconsistency. It's hard to explain how the seam team lays a huge clunker at Georgia and demolishes South Carolina in the same week (final margin not indicative of the actual game as USC hit lots of 3s late).
4. I expect LSU to win by about 10, but I can't imagine a better time to be playing you all. You've already secured the SEC championship and have a couple of players with injury concerns.
