I know this post is probably a day or 2 late since we got over the booing a bit. But I was sitting in my Micro-Economics class Monday morning at the greatest school in United States (LSU) and my professor, a pretty avid LSU fan, had mentioned the booing during the game. And he gave a pretty good explanation to the booing from an economics point-of-view. Nowadays with the increase in ticket prices (he mentioned he knew someone in the lower bowl paying $1500 for two seats for the season) the wives who really had no interest along with children who never payed attention are showing up less and less every year. The stadium is consisting of hardcore LSU fans who are paying a pretty penny to get into TS. So when these people are showing up to games after dropping probably more than $100 dollars for nose-bleed tickets and they aren't getting a good show, I wouldn't blame them for getting a little bit irritated. So thats just a little food for thought.

That is the only problem I have with the theory. If they are hardcore LSU fans, why are they leaving early? I contend that there are now fewer hard core fans than in the past because of the pricing of the tickets and either TAF or the Tradition Fund. Many hardcore fans have been priced out of the market. When you have to pay 6 grand for 6 tickets and parking pass, that is about $850 for a game. More corporate tickets now and they go to some people that could care less. Some corporate tickets are next to mine and there are different people in them every week, sometimes from the opposition. They rarely ever get into the game and are late to get there and early to leave.

I you don't like the product...DON'T BUY TICKETS. LSU isn't going to change anything because fans boo, they just want your $$.

The only thing that comes of booing is bad publicity for LSU and negative recruiting.

Booing does absolutely fricking nothing.

Pretty sure I could teach Economics if that was a good explanation. And I'm pretty sure I got a C- in that class in college.

Booing is for the birds. I pay a lot money like everyone else for my tickets. If you have a problem, nutt up like a big boy and call Les on his radio show or contact Joe Alleva. Crying to Jordy and Buddy is a puss way out. So is booing your own team during a game or for that matter anytime....I don't care if it's directed towards the coaches.

This is such a bullshite reason.

1) The lower bowl isn't full of "hardcore" fans. It's mostly people that get tickets from whatever company owns the seats. I sat down there for the first time last year and was shocked at the amount of Walmart jersey wearing families and high school kids.

2) You can never consider yourself a hardcore fan if you leave early and boo your own team.

3) Your Micro teacher is a fricking moron.

The fans who left early were booing with their feet.

When Miles refused to make a change at QB, he lost 30% of the fans in the stands that night.

Starting Jefferson this week, he might have lost another 20%

Sticking with a player who pouts like a first-grader on the sidelines when things don't go his way is the wrong thing to do as a head coach of a college football team.

First of all you cant call his radio show because the calls are screened. The people that boo are booing for a reason.Weather it be because of poor play or poor coaching, but when you watch what appears to be an inemic offence that every one at home or in the stadium knows could be better your feelings just get the better of you and you have to display your emotions... something like peterson did last saturday night.

Sure you can, say that you want to congratulate Les on being 4-0, and when they put you on the air, give him hell!!!! It's what I did last year
