There is no such thing as "running up the score" as long as the opposing defense is still on the field.

geez this thread blew up, my post was intended to be a question of why petrino did what he did, not to use it as an excuse. sorry it got misconstrued.
Reading posts on the score board about our hearts giving out during the game is just as bad, where is that outrage?

Don't wanna read all 13 pages in here. Has anyone in the media or otherwise asked Petrino about his sideline hissy fit and postgame snub of Les? Has he addressed this directly anywhere?

I think Petrino was just pissed he couldn't be running up the score on us. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.

the written word is easier to misconstrue than the oral word so it is easy to see that your post sounded like you were making a statement and pissed the tiger fans off. petrino is not a popular guy because he appears to have a scowl on his face all the time. i'm sure he's not as bad as portrayed. best of luck to y'all in your bowl game.

Tasteless comments about Uekman's death are certainly wrong and inappropriate. If anyone should appreciate that, it is the good folks from Louisiana who have heard more than their share of tasteless Katrina jokes.
As far as why Petrino did what he did, I really don't think it had to do with Uekman. He did show his butt yesterday, but I suppose you will have to ask him why.

That's enough for me.College footballbevokes alot of emotions, especially when u have an unexpected death of a young man with his whole life ahead of him. I am very sorry for the loss of this young man. May he be with our eternal father in heaven.

I accept your apology. As far as Petrino goes, he spends the whole game pissed. Pissed at his players when they make a mistake, pissed at the refs for a call he doesn't like.
I don't care if he shakes Les' hand or just stays on his sideline scratching his arse.
If Slive wants to tell him to quit yelling "frick you, Motherfricker" at the opposing coach on national TV then that's the leagues deal. I doubt anyone in the Arkansas media will even discuss it on their own.

(1) Tiger Stadium P.A. Announcer made a very nice tribute statement before the game for the young Razorback player who passed away. The whole stadium was moved and said a silent prayer for him.
(2) WTF was Miles supposed to do on 4th down from the Arkansas 23 yard line ???????
-PUNT ???????????????????????????????
-Kneel down three times and give the ball to Arkansas to give them a chance to score and try an on-side kick ???????????
-And WORST of all - GO FOR IT on 4th down, and possibly score another touchdown ????????
(3) If Arkansas fans and Petrino CARE to remember - Miles """"""""""""DID""""""""""" kneel down on the last possesion and ran out the clock in the Arky red zone at the end. ANYONE remember that ?????????????

Exactly. He is always pissed similar to Saban. Les is the opposite. Hell Petrino cussed our kicker earlier this year after he missed a 48 yard FG. "Do your fricking job"
I don't care as long as he gets results. We've improved every year and had our highest BCS ranking at #3 this year. We'll be good again next year.
Could have he handled the handshake etc. better? Sure. Do IGAF. No
