Toothless UGA beat their Coastal champ, and even more toothless USCe beat Atlantic champ Clemson. The ACC hasn't fared well vs SEC lately.

Fact: The UNC Defense is like an overpumped stock. Sure, it may be good, but when everyone and their mother is picking it, I would bet against the conventional wisdom.

The reporter is an ACC homer. She covered Maryland for the Baltimore Sun before going to ESPN and they hired her to cover the ACC. She picked VaTech to beat LSU in 07 and GaTech to beat LSU in the 08 Peach Bowl. For the 08 Peach Bowl she used the phrase "if I had a farm I'd bet it on this one" I think she's just as wrong this time but the score might be a little closer.
