thanks for agreeing. They have ZERO chance of winning one game in this regional.

I tweeted it a little bit ago. Got the information from the SID and Coach Savage himself.

Kent St did beat LSU in a regional game in Baton Rouge back in the early 90's if memory serves....Of course we went on to win the regional.

I was waiting for you to reply Josh. I know the others are good but I thought for sure Cole would go Saturday.

I dunno much about the other guys, so hard to have an opinion. I didn't think Cole was going to definitely shut us down, but at the same time someone with that talent scares you.

Honkus, I have not thoroughly scouted UCLA's pitching but Cole's stats are very close to Bauer's. Why does Bauer scare you more than Cole? Jesus, their pitching looks great and deep.

It looks like it's a little bit easier to make contact off of Bauer. He has better control, though.

Yeah, it is mixed bag--unfortunately all the sats are good for both. I always look at opponents batting avg. Opponents hit .247 against Bauer, which is good, but only .200 against Cole!

I just think we could run the count up on Cole, and not chase the junk, work plenty of walks, and mash on his 95-97mph fastball.

Know Bauers a RHP, but dont know much else about him. K/BB ratio was a little better and i just wanted to punk Cole bc I hear he is a hot head..These 2 guys are definilty 1 and 1A either way you look at it.

I do know Bauer is a finalist for golden spike FWIW. chances are we'll have to get past the lefty rasmussen too

ETA: does sound like Bauer will be in the zone more often, which could be to our advantage.

It seems like LSU doesn't have as much trouble against lefties like they did last season.

I'm still pumped to see what Alsup can do on championship sunday. So I hope we can be 2-0.
