I really like the message of our alternate uniforms. I also love what UAB have been doing the past couple of years with wearing a child's name on their back from the childrens hospital close to their campus

Man with the kid with cancer on gameday to this story here, got me all in my feelings this morning. Sad that with the POS we have walking around heathy that a kid has to suffer now let me get back to peeling these onions

I like our no-name uniforms (for one game), but in general I like the players’ names on the jersey backs. These kids “spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning” and they deserve for people to see their names.
That said, UAB is doing something special. I think it might be better to leave the player name on the back and put the kids’ names on the sleeve or on the back of the helmet, but that’s just because of my preference above.

i love this. their coach is and always has been 1st class guy. UAB is lucky to still have him after the discontinued the football program. he stuck it out. He is a great x&o coach too.
