There is a lot of fear and insecurity on this board regarding other state schools. Tulane is the most hated for obvious reasons

The funny thing is, that if I actually cared enough to do it, I could make a list twice that long of more ridiculous things that have been said on this very board.

You'll find a lot of rantards on here. The kind that freak out whenever LSU loses a game. But you'll have a really hard time finding a fanbase as delusional and less aware of where it falls in the athletics pecking order than Tulane.
You'll have a really hard time topping these 2:
1. I would take Bob Toledo over Urban Meyer any day of the week. Toledo never would have lost to Ole Miss with Florida's talent. Meyer may have won the national title but he shouldn't have even had a loss. Toledo is a much better coach.
6. Less Smiles doesn't want to schedule Tulane anymore because he sees that we are clearly trending upward. A parent of a football player told me that Nick Saban told our team that they were the most physical team the Tide faced in 2008.

What? If the Box served beer it would be college baseball paradise. Turchin isn't paradise, but I live really close and can go watch any game and have a beer. Baseball without beer is un-American IMO.

I agree with most of what you're saying. However, I'd rather sneak a flask into the Box, than go to Turchin and be able to buy beer.
That's nothing against Turchin, but The Box>>>>>>>>>>Turchin.

Faulty logic. I agree the Box is perhaps the best venue considering fan backing and atmosphere. But, this is Louisiana, why not serve just beer? With strict ID requirements of course. It makes no sense. NO is just different than anywhere else in the state.

SEC says no.

Wrong. The NCAA says no at any of their sponsored events. It has nothing to do with the SEC. I don't think anywhere else in Conference USA serves beer except for Tulane. It is an institutional decision.

I agree. Thank God for my Club seats.

That is why going to a game at Turchin for the average fan is a great experience. Ten bucks for admission and either Heineken or Miller/Miller Lite on tap is a great experience. Kim, if LSU served beer they could take all of the tacky advertisements off of the wall and make the Box the place it should be.

I agree 100%.

And Coleman was 8-1 with a 1.95 era, that doesn't sound too much like coming on towards the end of the year to me. Sounds like a flat out dominant season.
he got the win against Tulane to improve to 3-0 on the year. He started pitching great after April 15th going 7-1 with a 1.91 era.
He pitched way more at the end of the season and wasn't used often or in important games at the beginning of the season
