Felt so bad for him trying to play 10 days after surgery against miss st. That knee was wrapped up, but dude gutted it out and gave everything.
Cb really was perfect storm for that game, stingley out, ricks hurt in game, ward banged up, evans really bad, mcglothern first snaps ever in cfb, flott hurt during game as well I think.

Postseason awards are largely decided in the preseason. It takes eye-popping numbers for journalists to take notice of someone who is not on their radar to begin the season.
Jobe, Moore, Stingley, Elam, Catalon, Ricks, Monday, McCreary, Battle all have a leg up on Ward.
Ward should have a solid season though.

He would need to lead the SEC in interceptions and safeties in tackles to get 1st team.

I say false, but that he still plays very well and ends up in consideration for 2nd or 3rd team. No shame in that in this conference.
