I've heard from matt moscona that he thinks they will produce a healthy, competitive atmosphere for eachother.
Can't wait to be able to run the option again, or a read option. Finally have a quarterback who can throw instead of a runningback who can throw

I am just asking because of what I heard yesterday from Detillier on Matt's show. Like I said in the thread I have never seen him play but for a recruiting expert to think he has a chance to play I thought it was worth the conversation.

Your opinion, man....

If Harris is as good as advertised, it does little good to redshirt him.

It would do some good in this situation. He's a QB coming on to a roster with deep young talent.

You're forgetting how good Jennings and Rettig were advertised. If Jennings turns out to be what the coaches expect, that's 2-3 years as a starter. Then it will be a battle between Rettig and Harris both with a maximum of 2 years of eligibilty left.

Any other position or a different depth chart I would agree with you.

No one knows if Jennings or Rettig will work out. If Harris comes in and proves he can contribute, improve the team in some respect, play him.

Well yeah, if you look at worse case scenario for our other 2 highly regarded QB recruits and best case scenario for Harris.

I think he'll be a good one.

Days of redshirting elite players regardless of position are almost over. If someone has the talent to contribute in a positive manner, it makes little sense to sit them for a year, which may be wasted. If Harris is as good as advertised, the odds of him being at LSU for 5 years are extremely slim.

Is Harris enrolling in the spring or fall? If the spring who knows what happens.

Jennings hasn't played enough to form an opinion yet. Les will wait till next year so we can start another season without a QB with any experience!
