was just wondering what constitutes being a true fan in the eyes of true rantards

Do you believe LSU will win every game and every game they lose they should have won if it weren't for _____?

Do you tell others to turn in their season tickets if they dare to predict less than an undefeated season and a BCSNC?

Do you believe that LSU should play all of its games at home, wearing white jerseys, under the lights and on natural grass?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are a

Cool deal, one of my best friends growing up was from Eunice. Spent quite a few Mardi Gras' down in Mamou. Give me a shout and we'll work something out.

Yes Thomas, you can be a LSU fan without going to Tiger Stadium. I was born and raised in Georgia and became a LSU fan because my father loved college football and listened to LSU games on radio on Saturday nights. My love turned to passion and now I have season tickets. Take your kids to all the games you can, it IS a special place.

I like the way you think.

I've been a Tiger fan for 61.75yrs now. My dad, brother and I road around satnites in Houston listening to the Tigers on WWL. In '57 I shattered my right ankle, severely bruised my spine, kidneys and liver from a horrendous fall in Tiger Stadium on the eve of Audrey making landfall at Cameron. I was carried out of the stadium by Earl Leggett and almost didn't make it through the nite at BRG. Soon after that we moved to the northeast and my greatest regret in life is never having seen a game in Tiger Stadium with my old man. I placed some of his ashes in the south endzone late one nite (when you still could) and whenever I watch a home game now I am always thinking about that good man who loved his Tigers and his family with all of his heart and all of his soul. I've yet to see a game live in Tiger Stadium but I doubt you'll find a bigger fan than me. Geaux.

it took me untill i was in my 30's before my first game. i was 8 when i became an lsu fan with no outside influence. that first game was against georgia durring the great lou tepper days. quincy carter beat us like a red headed step child. i figured i jinxed us and stayed away untill jr killed miss st. my dad is 72 and wants to go for his first time. might have to do the out of conf. thing too before its to late for him.

Thomas my man if you live one hour from the stadium , are 47 years old and have never been to Tiger Stadium you are NOT a true LSU football fan.

Go to the stadium , experiance a Saturday night game , and THEN you will beome a true fan.

Until then you are just an interested sports fan.

Any rich person can buy a ticket just for fun, but it doesnt make him a true fan. As long as you WANT to go, and as long as you love ur tigers.

Hard to answer this question. I know people who didn't go to tiger stadium until their mid 20's, but would go berserk whenever LSU lost ( throwing stuff, yelling at the top of his lungs...normal things tiger fans do when we lose). Instead of us having to answer this question, just take your son like you said. I remember my first LSU game. It wasn't a night game ( unfortunately). I was 19 and LSU was playing Florida during their 2003 title season. Even though we ended up losing ( only game that year...that's my luck), the experience beforehand and the actual game was great, especially when the student section went crazy when Green ran back a punt. Afterwards wasn't too great, so we just had to go find a place to drink and I remember someone getting hit in the face with a hockey stick. Good times Anyway, just go this season. If you can afford it, I'd try to go to an SEC game. If not, small non-conf games are fun too.
