It is pretty obvious that teams that don't throw the ball effectively can't win a National Championship
Amazes me that people don't realize that Paul Johnson's offense relies on an efficient passing offense.

They may primarily run the ball, but that offense is designed around finding weaknesses in the opponents defense.

In 09, bama was 87th. In 2010, auburn was 70th. In 2011, bama was 74th. In 2012, bama was 69th. Now, in 2013, FSU was 10th. Congrats.

Ahem *cough* not bullshite... depends on how you look at it. This is going by total passing yards including championships and bowl games.

The real point is that Georgia Tech hasn't finished outside bottom 10 in pass under Paul Johnson.

Congrats.

This is a dumb topic, but I will respond anyway. When is the last time a triple option team has won a National Championship?

We won't be running the triple option, but the Nebraska team that ran it and won it all in 1995 was the best offense I've ever seen in my life and they were the most dominant team I've ever seen. They obliterated Steve Spurrier's undefeated Fun n' Gun Gator team by a score of 62-24 in the NC. I didn't think anyone could touch UF because nobody came within 10 points of them in the regular season with their passing attack and they killed almost everyone. Nebraska had the perfect QB for it though and a combination of size and speed that was extremely rare.

So, you are using a metric that gives a total stat advantage with an extra game. Yards per game is the only way to do it. Unless you have an agenda.
