So he didn’t hurt her then. What’s the problem?

KIDDING, just kidding.

It wouldn't take over 10 months to prove he was at home. Charges would've dropped immediately if they got cellphone data ASAP and proved he was there at the time.

"Bless their heart" Lost count on "evidence" mentioned by reporter.

It’s almost as if the DA has it out for him. Slow leaking evidence is BS

Time for Kelly to reverse his stance and fully reinstate Holly to the team. Call the press conference and emphatically state he is completely innocent until proven guilty.

That’ll get the proceedings sped up.

no, his charge of attempted murder was dismissed by the GJ. That's not all he was charged with. Anways, update from today's status hearing...

UNION PARISH, La. (KNOE) - New developments emerged Wednesday in the legal battle involving LSU running back Trey Holly as his attorney, Michael Small, received additional evidence in court. The new evidence comes after the prosecution introduced key materials during Holly’s last hearing in September.

Holly, a former Union Parish High School football star, remains off the field and in the courtroom as his legal challenges continue. Initially charged with attempted second-degree murder in connection to a February shooting, the grand jury dismissed that charge in April. However, Holly still faces charges of illegal use of a weapon and aggravated criminal damage to property.

Small, speaking after the court proceedings, expressed concerns about the pace of the process:

“We’re hoping that this process can be expedited to some extent,” Small said.

The attorney also revealed in court that evidence has been gradually turned over since September, with Wednesday’s addition believed to include body cam footage.

Holly, who was suspended from LSU’s football team in February, remains indefinitely sidelined while awaiting the outcome of his legal case. LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly previously stated that Holly’s suspension will stand until the matter is fully resolved.

The next status conference in Trey Holly’s case is scheduled for Feb. 19, 2025.

IOW nothing happened today except for the disclosure of more evidence

They are just fricking him over. My view from afar.

way too slow

Understatement.

Anything criminal should be expedited.

There can't be that much evidence to have 3 month intervals between status conferences.

Judges have too much on their dockets.

I can't even imagine what it would be like for someone sitting in jail waiting for trial, particularly if innocent.

I understand that he may be guilty of something but the serious charges seem to have been dropped. And it seems to me that it would be easier to “ put your self in that situation” when you are at your home or place you live. And I don’t care if he ever plays for LSU again. But if he had pled guilty to these lesser charges that they have on him a year or so ago, he would likely be out of jail by now? Mike Small is a very good and very experienced attorney but he is getting old.

Isn't there something about the right to a speedy trial?

You have to demand it. For some reason (I assume strategic), they aren't.

The apartment complex where the shooting occurred is apparently his home. That's my point.

Gotta have all evidence.

There are status conferences every 3 months which seems like it is taking forever but you can't proceed to trial without knowing what the prosecutor/state is going to use against him.
