e.g. the 2007 Florida game. Les went for it against Florida on 4th down at least twice

It was actually three times that he went for it on 4th down against Florida. So it was technically 'at least two.'

I guess you'd have rathered that Miles "not" gone for it on those 4th down conversions and lost the game. Why should he look like a "Mad Hatter" just for the sake of winning the game ??????

Alabama shouldn't be in the discussion, LSU was up by 10 in the fourth quarter, no real luck involved in that game.

I said at least 2 games from last season and I think it was pretty clear that I meant Tennessee and Florida.

I never once mentioned Alabama. MetryTiger tried putting words in my mouth to build a strawman.

But the point is, while the OP is whining about all the games we could have won it's important to remember all the games our opponents probably feel they should've won. Clearly, if I ask any Tennessee or Florida fan they'd quickly agree that we stole those games from them late on some crazy low percentage plays. I mean, not only did that ball bounce our way on the fake FG but they had to review it for what seemed like an eternity to see if it was a forward lateral. And the kicker barely escaped tackle by 3 Gators who somehow let a kicker blow right by them. If you watch the video, the bouncing of the ball off the turf seems to have caused the defender with the best chance at tackling him to overpursue just enough to take a bad angle that allows him to get the first down. It worked and I'm damn glad it did but let's not act like that game was in the bag. It took some luck and some crazy arse trickeration to pull off both of those wins last year.

Y'all are gonna nitpick and say we had those games in the bag but then claim we coulda, shoulda, woulda won all these other games that we didn't.

I guess that makes me a NegaTiger.

Whatever.

I could find 50 that we shouldn't have won, so it all evens out in the long run

There might be 20 just since 1980.

So your saying that we have no reason to not go undefeated every year...come on man. The SEC is the best in the nation top to bottom. All teams lose a few they shouldn't and win a few they shouldn't, be realistic.
