i still think despite LSU's 2008 and 2009 seasons,(which arent even losing seasons), that they deserve to be higher than 6th.
2 NC's and 4-0 in BCS games is better than almost anyone else in the decade
USC
Florida
Texas/LSU
LSU/Texas
tOSU
OU

and not that it matters, but LSU's 2 titles came 4 years apart with 2 separate coaches and almost completely different personnel. Thus they didnt have a nucleus of players(like USC and Florida did) who were major players on each NC team.
Im not a purple and gold sunshine pumper either when it comes to being objective

Its ridiculous for them to put us anywhere but top 3. IMO it should be Florida, LSU, USC. They have OK and OSU higher than us and we beat both of them in NCG. Silliness really.

Must vote for min of 5, current standings:
# 1 Florida (4,884) 111,828
# 2 USC (4,266) 105,819
# 3 Texas (1,045) 92,494
# 4 LSU (310) 74,656
# 5 Oklahoma (472) 74,205
# 6 Ohio St. (890) 72,948
# 7 Boise St. (1,135) 61,372
# 8 Georgia (162) 42,660
# 9 Virginia Tech (161) 42,454
# 10 TCU (75) 31,934
Rated top 4 even after our back to back disappointing seasons. Glad the respect is still there. #1 again soon!

LSU should be ranked as 1/2 with FL. USC is a media darling and BTW, didn't win two NC's during the decade. They won 1, but were given a second by sportswriters. Moreover, during the decade of the 2000's, they ran one of the dirtiest programs in the country. They were somewhat like the Yankees in baseball: A professional team that was the best money could buy. I don't even need to give examples, but I will mention some of the names that we know about: Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, Matt Lienart, and Jarrett.
Yep, the decade belonged to them.
One other point, LSU defeated the No. 3 and No. 5 listed teams for their two crystal balls.

LSU would be in the top 3, possibly even tied for #1, if it weren't for the clusterfrick seasons back to back in '08 on defense and pick 6's, and in '09 with a psychotic offense. Just give LSU two solid seasons with 9 or 10 wins, 2 bowl wins, and coaches who look like they know what they are doing, and we are #2 or #3 easy.

this is complete bullshite. even in naming LSU #6 he still takes cheap shots at the program and at Miles.
ESPN. they hate LSU and will for a long time to come.

I have it as -
Fla
LSU
USC
OK
OSU
UT
National championships should weigh more than any other stat. FLA & LSU with 2 - USC with 1.5 (being nice) then it goes to NC showings. OK - 4 - OSU 3...UT 2...

ESPN does hate on LSU. At College Gameday 2008 when Nick Saban came to Baton Rouge. Chris Fowler turned to the crowd, off camera, and critized LSU for not bringing a bigger crowd to Gameday.

That makes sense.

Forget about LSU's rank. He's got Boise and TCU in there.
I know they have had recent success, but they still aren't among the ten best programs in the nation. Maybe Boise. Just maybe.
But not TCU.
