DBU taking a serious hit in the depth department

FS
03 Jacoby Stevens 6-2, 228, JR
05 Kary Vincent, Jr 5-10, 185, JR

SS
07 Grant Delpit 6-3, 203, JR
33 Todd Harris, Jr. 5-11, 190, SR

Who we got now ... Check that roster ...

Marcel Brooks (Fr)
Maurice Hampton (Fr)
Eric Monroe (Jr) ... Injury status
Kenan Jones (So) ... Special Teams
Cameron Lewis (Jr)

Let’s see who Aranda uses against Vandy!

Guessing the Super Freshman get an early SEC baptism with serious playing time, not the mop up they been getting against GSU and NW State. Geaux Tigers!

You’re a day behind. Orgeron said as much yesterday at his press conference.

Orgeron said Monday that Jacoby Stevens "is going to play back there" in place of Harris.

quote:

The 6-foot-1, 228-pound Stevens started at free safety in the last four games of the 2018 season in place of injured former free safety John Battle. It was "a good experience," Stevens said, that will help him "try and pick up where we left off."

After those starts, Stevens knew he had to get better covering the post in coverage — a deep route in which receivers angle toward the middle of the field, toward the goal post. He worked throughout the summer on his footwork and loosening his hips up.

Eta: Another article in The Advocate this morning says Brooks was doing drills with the outside linebackers and may see more time as a pass rusher with Chaisson being questionable this week vs Vandy.
