this team is shitty at manufacturing runs. most of this is our terrible bunting skills but also our inability to hit sac flies.
You might want to re-think your opinion.

LSU leads the SEC in sac flies in conference games with 11. No other SEC team is in double figures.

In SEC games only LSU is first in the conference at batting in a runner from third base when there are less than two outs in the inning.

In 73 opportunities in that situation, LSU has batted in the runner (for an RBI) on third base 51 times for a success rate of 69.9%.

Texas A&M is a relative distant second with a success rate of 64.0%.

LSU also leads the SEC in advancing runners successfully, moving runners up one base successfully 50.7% of the time.

Arkansas is second with a success rate of 50.4% of the time. No other SEC team is above 50%.

Here's a stat that I would have lost a lot of money betting against:

LSU is best in the SEC in conference games at getting a hit with the bases loaded with a batting average with the bases loaded of .571.

In 21 opportunities with the bases load, our hitters have gotten 12 hits.

No other SEC team is batting over .500 with the bases loaded. Texas A&M is second batting .474 in that situation.

We’re first in the league in sac flies and sixth in bunts. And 4th in runs scored.

and we're 4th in the west.

small ball will kill us in Omaha (if we get there). we are more ineffective on stopping small ball than we are in executing it, imo.

So first you're bitching (erroneously) that we can't execute small ball and now you're bitching that small ball won't win in Omaha???

You’re right that it’s probably not gonna happen based on what we’ve seen so far this season, but there is absolutely a path for LSU to get a Top8 seed. And it wouldn’t require some outrageous winning streak.

If LSU can win today and win the final 3 series, we will absolutely be in the discussion of a Top8 seed. At that point, we would likely be in the 7-10 range.

If we win today we are tied for second with Ole Miss (and maybe MSU, if they can win again today). That's not 4th in the west.

Why are you just stupidly spitting out easily found false information in every post you make?

Did I state something that wasn't factual?

Why are you so concerned with me? Nobody is talking about Orgeron in this thread, move along.

LSU's record on Friday night is 7-4 (I counted Thursday series starts as Friday).

Not sure how you equate that to not being able to win on Friday?

Its weak.
Our SEC record is 4-3 on Fridays (or game 1 of 3)

You said why can't LSU win a Friday night game. That suggest that LSU hasn't won a single Friday night game. I pointed out that they are 7-4, so your statement is false.

You replied to point out that they are 4-3, which is still a winning record.

Do Friday night wins count for more than 1 win or something? If we lose every Friday night game for the rest of the season, but win the next two, we will be perfectly fine.

Looking at the next 2 series and considering how inconsistent they’ve been, it’s a must win. Ole Miss at home then at Arkansas could easily end in 2 series losses. A win today gives them confidence going into next weekend. Win that series and the Arkansas series could decide the SEC West.
