TV on in the background, when I hear Tony Romo say "Gotta give Matt Canada a lot of credit there for the jet sweep."

Pretty cushy spot to be a position coach for a future HOF QB that doesn’t need coaching

I remember when I was so thirsty and brainwashed with bad offense I was literally excited every time we ran the jet sweep and was thinking, Yes, this is it!!

There's a time & place for the jet sweep but it's not something you build your entire offense philosophy around.

This, I remember some good plays off of it and it’s a good play. But as you said, you don’t build an entire offense around it. It’s not like other people don’t know about that play, if it was so great everyone would do it a lot

And he'll be in Buffalo next year, out west the year after that, etc.

Dude has been a football coach for 26 years - most of that at Indiana and Northern Illinois (17 seasons combined), but he's been at SEVEN other places, averaging about 1 season each stop not named Indiana or Northern Illinois.

And Coach O has been a coach at 12 places. It's not a very uncommon thing for coaches to move around a lot.

True - but lets look at some of those -

5 seasons at Da U during which they had a great run.

6 seasons at USCw during which they had a great run.

Nothing on Canada's resume matches those. Of course, he doesn't have O's *ahem* "experience" at Ole Miss, but I digress.
