That in itself is a problem. Les wasn't our first or even second choice. He just doesn't have it to coach in the big leagues. THe guy even looks lost sometimes. Now the worry is recruiting. You dont think kids look at a coach being the reason you lose games. A kid chosing between Saban, Myers, Carrol< or a bonehead....We have got all these awesome qb recruits, but thet don't seem to develope. Russel included. I would like a guy that could work with the qbs

I agree, I like Patterson at TCU. He coaches my kind of football: Great defense, power running game w/ play action. F*ck Brian Kelly, he's the next Dan Hawkins IMO.

i said realistically. saban will never come back to LSU. as far as programs and tradition is concerned, i'm sorry to say, but Bama is a cut above.

Patterson
B. Kelly
C. Kelly
Petrino
Saban
C. Petersen
Del Rio
J. Fischer (Jeff no Jimbo)

There are several coaches out there who could recruit this state and beyond with LSU's appeal and prepare the team, and find coordinators and assistant coaches and manage games better than Miles has. At $4 mil/ per LSu can find one of those coaches.

TCU already used LSU to get their coach a raise. Anybody remember the name Pat Sullivan? Joe Dean had him signed sealed and delivered to come to LSU. And then he backed out to accept a match offer from TCU. This is about when Mark Emmert stepped in the picture and told Joe Dean, "no really, I got this you just step back and I'll take it over from here..." And the rest is history with Nick Saban coming here.

That's what I think of when I think TCU coach coming to LSU.

Joe Dean was a pos AD.

Gary Patterson is a 10x better football coach than Joe Dean could have dreamed of being an AD.

This, but I don't think he will. I'd like to give it a shot though. I'd like Harbaugh also.
