2 on and Thompson errors on a routine ground out to load the bases. There are 2 outs and Cooper battles back. Cooper Ensley TN #2 in the order comes to the plate. Cooper gets to a 3-2 count. Gets him to swing at a pitch out of the zone to send a dribbler to 1st base. End of the inning.
This was really huge to get out of this jam. Meat of their order coming in off some momentum could have swung the other way.
Baseball is a fun sport.

The almost cost 3 games referred to both his offensive and defensive prowess.
Though he did make 2-3 very nice defensive plays over the course of the CWS

Baseball is a game of 1 play can lose it for you. Thompson is on thin ice he’s been bailed out by everyone else I hope the next couple days he doesn’t cost us
