If you are pleading innocent to a charge don't apologize for doing it.

He could apologize for the situation as a whole, not the charge. TM7 wasn't specific and his apology is perfect.

I hate how our a part of our fanbase has this entitlement mentality when it comes to football. The fans act like they are entitled to know the inner workings of the program and that players have owe a debt to the fanbase.

Newsflash: You are a consumer. NOT an investor. You are not owed anything. If you don't like it, don't buy the product.

Our fanbase is far from perfect, but you don't see athletes demanding apologies whenever or trash their campus.

TM7 apologizes..
As a student of the university he represents, yes I think an apology was the right thing to do.

It's hilarious so many here get mad when the team has the "us against the world" mentality, but then say they don't owe us anything.

I agree the apology by TM7 was very mature of him. However, comparing this situation to JJ's is kind of off base imo.

His apologies should go to his teammates and the coaching staff (which I'm pretty sure he's already done).

You're right and hopefully he has. As well as SW and TS.

Besides being way less severe why is it different? JJ could have said exactly what TM did and not confessed to anything.

Of course this is a great point, but TigerLee won't acknowledge it. He has worked it out in his head that he is entitled to have kids dedicate their lives to winning him a national championship and nothing you can say will quell that sense of entitlement.
