Not necessarily.
I know Jeff's rig cost probably less than $1200. I got these (LSU-Auburn '09--Just a random sample) on a $1600 rig. I should add that I was only ever on the field level for pre-game warmups. They are pretty diligent about checking credentials once the game starts.
