He probably doesn’t want to leave the lifetime contract he got from Texas Tech within about 18 hours of the A&M job opening up.

Lifetime contract at his alma mater, in a good baseball conference, with a hotbed of talent. Not even worth calling. If he calls, you pick up the phone and listen.

Correct. We apparently called and allegedly came close. Tech had to move because of the loss of Beard to texas.
