Tiger Stadium Field condition ??????

I have noticed that despite good weather in the days predeeding games at home, that the middle part of the field has not fared very well. Several players have slipped when making cuts, especially in the area just north and west of the eye of the Tiger.
With the rain coming, I am wondering if this could be an issue
What do you guys think?

should have never hired the MS State grad to oversee the field

didn't we just do a total renovation of the field after the saints tore it up? need some kind of new synthetic turf or something.

i was under the impression that the renovation was to a brand new drainage system...

I've been bithcing relentlessly about the condition of the field for years...at least since Skyler Green was tackled by it every so often trying to make a cut on it.
Yes...my first reaction seeing the field for the UGA game was complete disappointment. It hadn't been played on in nearly a month, and yet it looked like some sandlot. Players were tearing up huge hunks of it like it wasn't rooted to anything. Hell...Stafford was ALMOST sacked by it once in the north end, and he was kind enough to replace the giant divot he caused when planting his foot. And Keiland WAS tackled by it this past week against Tulane.
I'm beyong pissed about this being a recurring theme year in and year out. We live in Louisiana...if you stand still long enough grass will grow over your shoes. But...they can't grow grass in Tiger Stadium. In the end, it's not the weather, it's not the upper decks (stupid excuse once heard)...it's that it just isn't enough of a priority to FINALLY fix the problem once and for all. And that's too bad...

I agree. Our field is an embarressment. The players are slipping on their cuts and it just looks flat out terrible. I sit in the upper East and when I saw the field for the Georgia game after it hadn't been played on in a month, I was shocked.
And another thing, the endzone paint looks like it was prepared for a high school game. They can't even get the colors dark enough to make it look like a college field.
I don't know what happened to this so called new field that we got, but it's just like it's always been. The athletic department must invest in the most important part of Tiger Stadium at the very least for the athletes safety.
We need to hit the athletic directors email in large numbers to get him to wake up to this.
Anyway, Geaux Tigers.

Totally agree. My high school football and baseball field had better turf than tiger stadium and old alex box. I though the starkville guy would fix things but it still looks like shite. And why the hell don't we paint the entire endzone anymore. It looks like pathetic on Nat. TV.

You're preaching to the choir here. Raise hell with Alleva, Vincent and Halliburton. Demand that something be done and request that they give you an answer as to why the field and the field paint looks so bad. The field is a GD flat out embarrassment. Grass looks bad. Paint job looks like it was done by a bunch of third graders with cans of spray paint. Doesn't say much about the LSUAD that they're allowing this embarrassment to exist every week........
