No way there's enough room to expand the other end zone... I'm surprised there is enough room to do the other one- it's right up against the street

Plus they just spent all that money redoing the windows and exterior

Coreylsu21Tiger stadium expansionAnyone have recent pictures of the endzone expansion? Also, any guesses as to when the school will decide to expand the other endzone? Any final total capacity guesses after the final expansion?

I have heard some rumblings that eventually TAF wants to fund the construction of NEZ luxury box suites that would not cover up the Roman Coliseum look. It would not need to go out into N. Stadium Drive, nor would they interfere with Mike's Cage. They would put the support structures in to allow access from escaltors on each end.
These NEZ suites and seating would seat around 2000 people. The scoreboard would be put just above them.

This would give DV a final capacity of between 102,000 and 106,000 - depending on what the final seating for SEZ would be.

Why not include Mike's habitat IN the stadium and you could also have the road go THRU the stadium expansion.

Not sure about the validity of this figure. Hope is true and not just fluff. Cant find anything on the web that backs your figure though.

Lsusports.net has a webcam just in case you haven't figured that out yet.

I don't think it will ever happen. There is a weight room that comes out of the stadium that would have to be removed. It would cover the classic colosseum look. It would also be on top of Mike's cage and the PMAC.

Covering the Colosseum look is the only thing true in that statement

There are drawing already and they have been revived a few times.

Similar arguments were made about the south end " Never Gonna Happen", remember?
One guy posted drawing that showed why the South end could not be done.

Yeah beachcomber you're right, there's plenty of room to connect the top deck. My being bad at math is the obvious culprit here...

Can we also cut down those 100+ year old oak trees while we're at it? Screw 'em, that stadium needs to hold more than 120,000 before I'll be happy

This is true about more than the size of the stadium. Today's media is a lap dog, not a watch dog. If LSU admin tells them not to report it, they won't. Real journalism and "breaking stories" are a thing of the past in mainstream media.

Word I have heard is suites only and it wouldn't intrude on the surroundings as much as you might think. Suites are the name of the game for creating revenue and don't be surprised if we have a level of suites surrounding the entire stadium in the next 5-10 years.

I can chip in and say that I have heard this as well, along with balconies below the suites, allowing the current facade to be seen.
