Freshman year 1972 Old Graham. Made the mistake of rooming with the dorm monitor my first semester on campus. Woke up one morning @ 5 AM to loud banging on our door. Some A.H. had turned on the faucets full blast in the janitor's closet across the hall from us, plugged the sink drain, then locked the door. Entire 1st floor of Old Graham had about 1-2 inches that day.

When I tell people here that I was at LSU for 7 years they ask me why and I tell them I didn't want to leave. They then ask why and I say that if they had been in Tiger Band, they would understand.

I lived in South Stadium for a year in 1985-86. It was fine. Not densely populated and cheap. East Stadium had some rooms still open. East had the laundry and KLSU. I worked at the station at the time. Nothing much to see there. Brick blocks and gray paint with two built in wooden slabs for beds and a spartan desk. No a/c. It was fine for me.

A big change in dormitory planning occurred in 1975 (??) when they moved some freshmen (boys) all the way over to the other side of the campus at Power Hall (was next to University High's practice football field) and some of the girls to the two Grahams. Didn't get rid of the urinals in Graham for a while ( that's what I heard.) Inspite of the Women's Lib movement, the stadium dormitories would have been a little too much.
