LSU has a 5 year starting QB with 6-8 good RBs. Just sayin’

I'm an LSU fan through and through. However, your statement holds no water against FSU. Only time will tell what happens against MSU.

The question wasn't "LSU Offense vs MSU Defense?".

Their philosophy is different than the previous years. They will throw it more than the 17 times they threw it against Arizona but they are still not going to have a pass happy approach. They want to run the ball and will run the ball to control the clock. Stopping their run game is the key to the game here. And we have struggled to do so consistently the first two weeks.

I posted it in another thread, but Barbay is the new offensive coordinator. His last three seasons, not counting 2020 Covid, saw him run/pass about 55/45. It was 58/42 vs SE LA and 70/30 against UAz. I believe you're correct they'll throw more than last week. They'll have to if they want a chance to win.

MSU will score first. They might score second, too. Then, after halftime, House will make an adjustment and shut out the MSU offense second half.

If our DL and LBs do not have a big game you have serious fundamental issues with the defense. Miss State is not that talented like at all and they match up well for us with the traditional style of offense they run. RB is good, and they have a QB who's capable of being good but hasn't shown it this year. Everything else is mediocre at best with LSU having a pretty big athletic/talent advantage over them. I'll just leave it at that.

You saw those big runs against Grambling but just remember LSU shut Florida State's run game down pretty well until they just gave up in the 4th. Florida State has a very good run attack. Miss State is the perfect game for LSU defense to look good in. If they can't, it's time to hit the panic button.
