Our D will keep us in it and if UTEP can put 21 up on them than we can at least put 17 up.

I can only wish that you would say that to my face. I'm 43 years old, and started 2 years as a safety at lsu, and i'm quite sure in person you wouldn't question whether i walked on or otherwise. I'm quite sure you are a big mouth behind a computer.

Wow, just wow.

Do you want a cookie for being a former LSU player? Seriously?

I honestly don't give a shite if you played before or not, or were a starter. You're the genius on here calling people names for not sucking off the team and coaching staff and having a critical view of our offense.

I predicted this team to go 8-4/9-3. Do you think I am upset about being wrong?

This team has played very well, but the offense is still putrid.

Are we still in the NC hunt? Sure. I am happy about that and proud of the team, but that doesn't mean they are perfect.

Again, you are really trying to threaten me? Seriously? Do you not see how pathetic a 42 year old man threatening another grown man through a computer looks? :rotflmao:

I can't even take you seriously anymore.

Drexyl, this dude's a man. He's FORTY!

Apparently, I've never given the team credit because I think our offense is bad and even though I've stated numerous times our defense has been great and so has special teams.

Also, when you force turnovers on your opponent's side of the field, you don't get a ton of yards and first downs, but you do get points and the W.

I don't think most people are concerned with the yards in this game as much as the horrible execution. We were 0-8 on our first 8 3rd down conversion attempts and ended the game 2-12. That is more indicative of anything than yards gained.

We won, but some of us simply aren't sold that our offense is great off a good half against Alabama. It showed us the team's potential for sure, but it was one game.

I will say this for the last time..

Running teams scare me much more against LSU..

Passing teams with a non-mobile gigantic QB play right into our hands.

and it's not like arkansas has a dominating defense..

he's got me curious now.......... 2 year starting safety for LSU in the early 80s. Could be only 5 or 6 guys to choose from.

While I agree with this to a degree, our stats in the rushing game are heavily propped up by our pass rushing, especially early on in the season.

No reason to think we won't keep coming with the same pass rush. I've posted Mallett's stats against the top teams in the SEC during his career early in this thread. He's been between average and downright abysmal when teams get pressure on him. We'll come at him hard, and Davis really isn't going to find that much room to run. He had a great game against USCe, but they don't have the secondary to blitz against a passer like Mallett. We do.

Should be fun. From an outsider's perspective, I wish that Childs and Adams were at full strength as were Taylor and Claiborne... he looked good but with head injuries, you never know. Our DBs against their WRs would be a fun matchup.

is anyone seriously "selling" this?

we're 10 games into the season. we are what we are at this point. We've got a great chance at winning out here. If we handle our business vs. Ole Miss we then match up pretty well with Ar-Kansas.

Even without a championship this could be a fantastic year.

I think our offense waits too often to pass on 3rd and long. I think you could count on one hand the times LSU passed on first down this year.

Y'all will win that game just like you have the others. It will be close, JJ and JL will play, y'all will bitch, and LSU will win it in the 4th quarter.

would you want it any other way?

The best LSU defense in history is going to shut ARK out.

chilge1, I definitely think our defense can shut them down from their typical output, but its one of those games where if our offense puts the defense in bad position.

Our redzone defense hasn't been that great this year and is honestly one of the only true weaknesses on that side of the ball compared to last season.

Its funny Florida and Alabama were the two best defenses we played and LSU seemed to play two of their better games offensively.BTW Arkansas is ranked 31st.

Oh, I have no doubts this team can win this game. I just won't go as far as guarantee it like some have.

This is a very good team and I am proud of them even if we lose the next 3 and finish the season 9-4 or win out and finish 12-1.

This team has shown a lot of heart and moxie, and has never quit unlike at times the past two seasons. You have to respect that and be blown away by it.

I am just not a person that will feel comfortable with claiming we are finishing the season 11-1. We've had a lot bounces go our way to get to 9 wins. I am just waiting for the ball to bounce the other way a couple of times.

Yeah, but pretty much every game has gone like this. In fact, it's only in the last three weeks that Jefferson hasn't turned the ball over in the first two series... and maybe I'm forgetting if he did it against Auburn (Truthfully, the only thing I can remember from that game is having to watch poor tackling en route to 400 yards).

It'll likely be a close game in which our defense is dominant, but gives up slightly more than their season averages in most categories. I think we'll have good field position for most of the night and the offense (and Jasper) will do just enough to keep it close into the 4th, and we'll go up by two possessions with a few minutes left to effectively seal the game in typical 2010 LSU fashion.

About fricking time, too!

I can't begin go count the number of bounces that have gone against us in our 17-9 (8-8) phase.
