Yes, they did cancellation of events until the data showed there is nothing for the vast majority of people to be afraid of.
Not sure what is so complex about this... we know have data, which they didn't have when this started.
The virus will be back... none of those efforts will do any good.... which is why the flu will kill more people than this will.

There are probably millions of South Koreans with this already, its just most are not showing symptoms are not really impacted by it.
The South Koreans were not as lucky... they didn't have the data.... we do, it doesn't show some huge zombie outbreak, a good majority of people aren't even going know they have it or barely even be able to tell.
And there is already effective treatment which it doesn't appear the Europeans or Americans are doing.
If people get treatment, the chances of even the elderly/very sick dying is not even high. Which is why all the kids are going to school here to get free lunches. LOL They probably have 1000s of times more chances of dying in the bus from an accident.
Literally, one of the biggest frauds of all-time. Heck, they don't care if you have TB anymore and 1-2 million people die from that every year globally.
At this point, this makes sense... not isolate everyone... everyone isn't at risk of anything.

IN THE EVENT, that some thing would happen...they can claim they did all they could to avoid lawsuits and/or

You can't stop this transmission, only delay - early detection to the weak can be good but at the end of the day, there isn't much that can be done to delay transmission more than a few weeks. Of course, in the meantime the nutjobs have basically destroyed the actually economic system.
I mean maybe to you people that drink swamp water you have another choice... pray to the voodoo gods to grant relief... in the real world there really is not much choices.

And most of the flu cases in children are severe. A significant portion of the flu deaths were children, yet schools remained open, not acknowledging any of this. This doesn’t pass the smell test.

The data is crystal clear at this point, not sure why everyone is freaking out or doing all this shutting down. The vast majority of people will get this in the next couple of years and there really isn't much people can do about that... delay.
Don't get me wrong if I was 85 with a lung condition, nobody would be allowed at my house if I had the choice. Its a nasty bug but the vast majority of people will not even be impacted to flu levels.
In the meantime, they have destroyed the economy.... welcome to the land of mega layoffs, defaults, bailouts and bankruptcies.
The rich will be getting money both ways... going up... and from the government on the way down.

Because people are trying to save the lives of their friends, relatives, co-workers, people they don't know and will never meet. It's not just old people, it's young people with diseases, people going through chemo and other treatments. It's a matter of trying to keep the healthcare system operational for all of the other things that people need treatment for on a daily basis. At this point if you don't get it, nothing will convince you.
