which 3 elite coaches would leave their current job to come here? the list of coaches that can do what miles has done is short so this elite 3 should be easy to name; who would leave?

I've been asking this question for a week now and NO ONE has stepped forward to answer me. NO ONE.

If you think LSU is just going to automatically hire a coach that will meet or exceed what les miles has done, not sure anything I say is going to change your mind.

LSU could easily hire an "idiot" for a head coach. Nebraska haven't been in the NC picture for 10 years.....okay why is that? these are top programs and went through a long stretch of not being able to find the right coach; recruiting fell off and it will take them YEARS to get back to what they were. Hell add Notre Dame to the mix. What excludes LSU from a similar fate?

Why are we immune to the challenges that faced Nebraska, USC, Alabama, Michigan, Texas, & Notre Dame?

I've asked 4 times ITT and still crickets. Tiger_n_ATL is answering (laughably) with Milesisms.

"Large pool of quality men. LSU will compete and finish first in the contest of a head coach hire."

Weren't elite programs at the time of hiring, they were on the decline. Sure they have fan bases and money but these teams have not been in the NC picture in over 10 years.

The point is, they were elite programs that were unhappy with the success they were having. They assumed they could go out and hire a great coach because of who they are. Did not work out for them very well did it.

The people on here that think LSU can hire anyone it wants (Gruden, Kelly, Saban, Meyer) are hilarious. The people who also think LSU can produce the success it has had under Miles with anyone else also live in a world where the sky isn't blue. Did these people sleep through the 80's and 90's? Nebraska and UM didn't think they could fail either.

Name one time in LSU history we have been at this level when in need of a coach. We have nothing to base it on. CLM came here after Saban and did a great job so who is to say someone can't follow CLM and do the same or better?

kiffin didn't destroy Tenn in 1 yr. i mean he didn't help it, but dooley had the chance to improve it and he didn't.

did you read the article about his recruiting and how many hs coaches thought dooley hurt the relationships btwn them?

meaning dooley did more damage than kiffin. meaning dooley was a bad hire too.

LSU getting a new coach would still leave for a variable of the unknown. and the person in charge of that is joe alleva.
