This hire was a win for the entire LSU family

Listening to Lane’s press conference, today, was yet another reaffirmation of something I already believed: LSU’s special allure appeals to not only players, but coaches too.
That allure is the result of our history and tradition, our collective passion for the football program. It’s something that can’t be bought or emulated. It’s why Tiger Stadium is the cathedral of college football. It’s why our facilities are NFL-like.
Yes, money is what goes into building those facilities and paying for our coaches and players, but where does that money come from? And why is it so abundant? It comes from all of us, and it’s because we care so deeply.
No one cares more about their team than us.
Everyone talks about the in-state talent, as if it’s an inevitability that they’ll go to LSU, but we all know that isn’t true. If LSU wasn’t what it is, they’d take their talents elsewhere.
We are why LSU is what it is!
Every time you’ve screamed your heart out on a Saturday Night in Death Valley™, or raised a child on stories of the glory days of old and/or the shining possibilities of the present and future, or donned the purple and gold just to make a trip to the grocery store or to take a walk, or - yes - even when you’ve posted some (possibly inebriated) rant on this very website, you’ve helped make LSU what it is.
So, take pride in your efforts, Tiger fans. Every one of you have played a role in this win, and every win to come!

You got that right. Before Dinardo, all the great players went elsewhere. Kevin fault broke the cycle. That was a major win for us. You will always have a player or two that just wants to see what else is out there. And saben knew what kind of players we have here. Since he left, I don't think bama has gotten any.
