Our D is getting some hype, but we are going to miss the pass rushing from BJ Ojulari. We have a few guys that might be good, but will need to see it early on with the talent FSU has on offense. The secondary will need time to gel.

I think you are going to see Savion Jones may be just as good...if not better.

Ojulari had 5.5 sacks last season. Jones at 4.5.
Ojulari had 8.5 TFLs. Jones had 6.0.

Keep in mind, Jones was a backup and played probably 40% - 50% less plays that Ojulari. That's not me trying to knock BJ. He was a good, consistent player for 3 years. I just think Jones is ready to break out

Not saying Jones won’t have a good year., but they play different positions and Jones was brought in on passing downs to get after the QB.
Part of the reason Ovie transferred was he might not start this year at Texas and Swinson didn’t play much at Oregon. So I don’t understand why some think they will be an upgrade from last year. Lastly, Maason is back but will be rusty and may struggle playing low enough in the run game because of the surgery.

Swinson was still a good rotational piece at Oregon, same with Ovie. Savion is going to get his, as well as Wingo and smith up the middle. That’s not even including Perk and Womack, as well as the rotational guys in the middle of Jefferson and Guillory. We’re going to get home to the quarterback one way or another
