For the negative people worrying about players declaring for the draft/potential opt outs for the game, here’s the pros and cons.

Pros

-There’s that kid that’s been on the sideline WAITING for an opportunity, and what better way to audition for Coach Kelly. Meaningless bowl game to a lot of people except the players in uniform. The opportunity to make a name for themselves.

-coaching staff gets to realistically evaluate what key pieces we really need for next year.

-give us something to be excited about and tons to debate for next year.

-Great chance for the players that’s thinking about transferring to feel good about themselves and hopefully show out.

-The “coming out party” attitude amongst a lot of players.

It’s a fresh start for everyone. Brand new judgement for players that were getting a passive look from our previous coaching staff for whatever reason. Let’em rip!

Cons-

None.

Yeah, win or lose it’s a showcase game for our young players. It will be something for Kelly to evaluate the players on the team. It’s one thing to do it in practice but stepping up in the game is what really matters. I’m excited to see the young bucks get after it.

Everybody complaining about it also want players who want to play for LSU. Well here is your chance. The guys playing in the bowl game really want to play for the tigers.

Hopefully, we have enough players to play unlike Aggie.

Exactly. I’m afraid we let some good ones go that never got a shot. if only they could’ve played in a game to show what they really have instead of judging them on practice..after all they are practicing against elite talent day in and out.

I can’t wait to see some of the young and unproven talent we have set up and wreck shop. It’ll be fun to see them make a name for themselves.

Only to say that they’re going to opt out the rest of the season for the NFL…

Something tells me the young guys want to show up even if we don’t have the numbers

I am willing to bet if it was a NY6 bowl or the playoffs the Aggies would have figured out a way to play.
