On virtually every point you state how bad it is, and then turn around a justify it.

Very true. I will also add, Jefferson has been pretty well protected by the coaching staff to this point, and there were some pretty obvious things yesterday that show he isn't as polished as a quarterback as many people think (or thought), myself included. He is learning and progressing though, and you still have to remember how young he really is. He has a bright future.
Back to the option, you are 100% correct. The option is really not much of a dual threat. If the object is to get the corner, I'd love to see us get in two tight ends with one back and just pitch the thing on a sweep. Seems like the use of a fullback this year as a lead blocker has a negative impact. The first move is to stand straight up and then get stuffed. Let's clear the way and let the running backs find a hole.

And as far as Shep goes, they better hurry up and let him throw a pass just to give the defense something else to think about. Taking too much abuse for the limited touches he gets.
And one more thing...never underestimate the impact of Trindon Holliday

Nibe insight.
You need to add that RS is a little undersized to be taking on SEC defenses.
I disagree with your assertion on JJs leadership. His quote to ESPN about not wanting the ball in the final minute, out of fear of throwing a pick, gives me concern.
